Get the 411 on Reedley: Incorporated in 1913, Reedley is located in the resource-rich San Joaquin Valley of Central California, approximately 20 miles southeast of Fresno, near the
Sierra Nevada mountains. The Sierra National Forest, with its trees, lakes, streams and unending vistas provide a year 'round recreational wonderland. Two nearby National Parks, Kings
Canyon and Sequoia, home of some of the largest and oldest trees on earth, are within about an hours drive, while a third national park you "may" have heard of, Yosemite, can be reached in
about 90 minutes from downtown.
Reedley is known as the "World's Fruit Basket" because the surrounding orchards produce and ship more fruit than any other region in the world. Over 360
different crops are grown in the area. Apples, Apricots, Peaches, Plums, Nectarines, Oranges and Lemons of many different varieties grace the landscape. The blossoms of these trees create so
bold a spring statement that over 60 miles of roads from Fresno through Reedley and several nearby cities to the foothills have been officially designated as "The Blossom Trail". Also to be
found are an abundant variety of exceptional table and wine Grapes. Nut trees including Almond, Pecan, Pistacchio and Walnut also thrive in the fertile, sun-drenched soil and abundant water
of the Kings River that flows from the western slope of the Sierra.
The architecture of Reedleys' Downtown Business District lends to its charm and the "hometown USA" atmosphere is
something that you are sure to notice and appreciate, especially if you are used to the bigger cities with their 8 lane freeways and non-stop gridlock. So, browse through the 411directory
to find what you are looking for, then come see for yourself why Reedley is a place you want to visit often.
